Oxford ILS Junior Summer School is a programme for students aged 13 - 17 years old. The programme consists of English classes in the morning and a cultural and social programme in the afternoon and evenings. Classes are conducted in small groups (max. of 10 students) to ensure our young learners benefit from the lessons as much as possible.
We follow a curriculum suitable for young learners, lessons are designed to keep the students motivated and interested. They are stimulating, task-based, fun and challenging. Examples include: individual and group projects, reading and writing tasks, grammar and vocabulary games, interactive quizzes, workshops, songs, and much more.
Every weekdday in the afternoon there is a cultural, sport and activity programme, e.g. museum visit, punting, football, etc. Every Tuesday and Thursday in the evening there is an event or activity. On Saturdays the School organises an excursion to London and another famous city/place of interest in the UK.
The programme includes:
15 taught hours of English lessons per week
City centre location
Homestay accommodation in single or twin rooms
All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Cultural and recreational programme 6 days a week
Supervision and support by Oxford ILS staff and homestay providers
Full-day excursion on Saturdays
Bus passes for the duration of the programme
All study materials, attendance certificate and a student report
24 hour emergency contact number
